Hi there,
Just wanted to say that I am praying that you all have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!

It is our joy to honor Christ's birth in particular this weekend and I pray that we all celebrate it with clean hearts before God and in complete unselfishness. Please join with me in this because it takes a lot of prayer to have unselfishness and a lot of confessing and making up with God to get to completely clean hearts before Him. =) So, God bless you and enjoy your time with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Hi There, This is just a quick note to say that I am going to be running around tomorrow and the next day I'm on the road to P.E.I. so I won't be able to post anything for a couple more days. But I do want to share this with you with the remaining time.

Utter holiness, crystal pure, was Amy Charmichael's desire. She did not see how any true christian should have a lesser. "If we are not clean when we bear the vessels of the Lord, we may profane His holy name in the things which we hallow." We have to start really praying for holiness and purity. Especially us Christian girls being constantly bombarded on all sides with the ways of the world changing what God wants us to be like. We are now being taught through various media and society in general, to be very selfish and demanding rights, and all this stuff. We are being taught to always expect the best and get what we want.

Also, have you seen the clothing these days? It's the hardest thing to find modest clothes! And, say, respecting our parents?? That concept is laughed at and scorned in movies and school. The world is blowing up our pride and our self-centeredness which God has been trying so hard to pull out of us. I would say that we are FAR FROM holiness and purity.

So, I think it's about time to break the mold and start really praying to be different. Start praying for purity. Start praying for holiness.
Maybe some of you are confused and are wondering what exactly holiness means. I think the best answer I could give is that it is seperation from the things of the world and clinging to the things of God. But it becomes clearer as you get close to God and He even gives you his own definition for your life. We want to stand out as being different. Stand out as children of God. We want Him to be able to recognize us as His daughters! I was at a church service yesterday and the pastor was saying that we should start spending more time in prayer so that we know God better. So when we come face to face with Him, we know Him. We know what He's like and we love Him for everything He does. His ways are so amazing!

I hope this encourages you and I hope we all take it to heart. God bless you and I love you lot's!

Love in Christ, Miriam

P.S. the quote about Amy Charmichael is from a book about her called:"A Chance to Die" by Elisabeth Elliot

Hello there!
I am soooo sorry that I didn't post anything before we took off for South Carolina. You see, it was a rather short notice (to put it lightly) . We got back from God's concert in Pennsylvania and on our way home we decided to try to go to my sister Christa's house for Thanksgiving weekend. (She lives in S.C.) So the next morning we made plans and the morning after that we left. I'm very sorry that I didn't have time to send any notice as it already has been a while since my last post. =( Anywho, Christa also didn't have any internet access so that made emailing, well, difficult. =)
So, now that that's done with, how are you doing??? I hope all are well. =)
I do want to share with you something that God has been really pressing on me especially today and the last week. This spending an hour a day with God is REALLY important! And I have not been doing it. But, throughout the day, God has been sending me notes all over about spending an hour with Him. I have been thinking about how I raised my hand at the last concert to start spending serious time with Him and, I really want to! Why haven't I spent time with Him?? Because by golly, my flesh gets in the way!!! And I'm sick of it!
So, as the day progressed, as I told you, God sent me notes. Gabe got an email from a friend who had taken the commitment, and that encouraged me. Every time I turned a corner, someone was talking about spending time with Him. Then, I got an e-mail from one of my friends entitled: How to spend the Day With God
Hmmmm, I think I'm getting it.
This message is very nice because it's straight forward and just a wonderful guideline of setting a schedule and stuff. If you want, I can e-mail you a copy. So, I invite you all to also take the step, though your flesh will scream and you'll somehow come up with all kinds of excuses of why your to busy or whatever. Please pray for me and I will pray for you.
"... But the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life." ~ Gal. 6:8
God bless you and lead you to further love and knowledge of Him!

Hi Everyone! I am finally putting up pics of our trip to Martha's Vineyard. I am so excited to share these with you!
But first I want to share a verse that I just read. It's really nice!
1. " It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High; To declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness by night,With the ten-stringed lute, and with the harp; With resounding music upon the lyre. For Thou O Lord hast made me glad by what Thou hast done, I will sing for joy at the works of
Thy hands."

~ Psalm 92:1-4

Hi there everyone!
Welllll, this is exciting. Only problem is this thing doesn't have any nice shades of pink! AGH!! What am I going to do without my signature color?? LOL Anyway, on the serious side.
I am devoting this blog to the Lord and pray that it will be an encouragement to all of you who take a peek at it or frequent it. The purpose of this is to draw you and I to a closer relationship with the living God and to be an encouragement to you who live in the same world as I. This world seeks to bring us down and keep us from catching even a glimpse of our Heavenly Father, so it's our duty as Christians to shine Christ's light in the darkness and help people to see the One Who has created us. I would love to talk with you all about Jesus and we can learn more about Him and discover His promises and guidelines for us.

I would love to make friendships with you girls that will be forever and always. = ) I'm so excited about getting to know all of you who I have had a chance to meet, and never got to spend time with. And those who I have never met, I can't wait to know you, too! Teehee = ) I'm hoping to share verses, Bible studies, notes, pictures, and whatever else with you and you can e-mail me any time. Also, please feel free to add any comments or verses of your own or whatever else. I want to get feedback! So with that, I will bid you a good day and try to make the rest of this site in working order. God bless!

Love in Christ, Miriam
